Mind Over Sugar – Diabetes Mindset Coaching

1. What exactly is diabetes mindset coaching?

It’s support that goes beyond food plans and numbers. I help you manage the emotional and mental side of living with Type 2 diabetes—like guilt, overwhelm, and burnout. Think of it as practical mindset work that helps you make changes you can actually stick to.

2. Is this for me if I’ve just been diagnosed?

Absolutely. In fact, the earlier the better. The emotional side of a diagnosis can be just as important as the physical, and getting support early can help you feel more confident and in control right from the start.

3. I’ve had diabetes for years—will this still help?

Yes. Even if you’ve been managing diabetes for a while, the emotional load can build up. If you’re stuck, frustrated, or tired of the cycle of doing well then “falling off,” coaching can help reset your mindset and get you back on track without shame.

4. Do you offer one-off sessions or packages?

Both. You can book a one-off clarity session or choose from tailored coaching packages depending on your needs. Take a look at my Work With Me page for details.

5. What happens during a session?

We’ll talk honestly and privately about what’s going on—whether that’s food guilt, family pressures, stress eating, or just feeling mentally exhausted. I’ll guide you with mindset tools and emotional strategies to help you move forward.

6. Are you a dietitian or doctor?

Nope—and I don’t try to be. I’m a certified REBT mindset coach with 18 years in mental health and 23 years of lived experience with Type 1 diabetes. I work with your clinical care—not instead of it—to support your emotional wellbeing.

7. Can I work with you long-term?

Yes—book your free discovery call here.

8. I’m part of a healthcare team—can you train staff?

Yes! I also work with healthcare professionals to help them better support the emotional needs of diabetes. If that sounds like something your team needs, feel free to get in touch.
